DISCOVER WHAT TO DO IN ATYPICAL AUSTIN

The “Keep Austin Weird” movement started in the year 2000 and became a battle cry to promote the weird along with local businesses. So seek out the unconventional and try something new during your vacation. Make it a point to find the oddball landmarks and quirky businesses that give Austin its character.

Country

Broken Spoke is a legendary dancehall host to big stars and locals alike. Dancing is highly encouraged — they’ll even teach you how to two-step.

Mohawk is a vital venue in Austin’s rock and indie rock scenes. Enjoy split-level views of the stage, a rooftop bar, and happy hour specials every night.
